Hi everyone!!! Looks like lake powell was quite the party! hope you’re not all too sunburnt to work! ahaha
so this week we got to meet president Morrise and his wife! Pres Christensen was awesome, but i already feel like pres morisse is MY mission president, my REAL president! he’s alot more lively and funny and personable!
Today i got my first taste of korean monsoon season. eveyone keeps saying it rains so much here and today is the first time its actually rained really hard! and it comes down in weird sheets and waves so it get up under you umbrella and everyhwere! i love it but everyone else seems to hate the rain. i think its the greatest!!
nothing much exciting this week. We taught our one investigator once and then all our other ‘investigators’ we teach english to...so...
oh! we did have a weird transfer scheduled for thsi week though for the new mission...me and sis j are both staying...but sister saunders from my mtc district is opening a new area for sisters and she’s training. So we thought that 12 wks was a young trainer....well try 10 weeks!! she can do it though..she is a real go getter and real confident. i’m just relieved i get 6 more weeks with my mom :)
makes me think of one of my favorite scriptures though.... romans 8 ..i think verse 35 and 37 and 38....
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? Nay, in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him that loved us.”
With all the missionary changes, us foreign missionaries are seeing alot of distress, alot of tribulation because the young leadership positiions we’re being called with no experience. but it is not our mortal work, it soo much bigger than us and our lack of language ability....so through anything, we WILL BE CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHOSE WORK THIS IS.
